4-0 out of 5 stars Really really like my phone
I've had this phone for two years now and I really really like it.

So the ring tones are a little high pitched. Whatever. The important thing is that I get clear reception, light weight, and long battery life. It is easy to use - the buttons feel good to me and the menus are intuitive. The blue backlight is also really nice. Sometimes I use it as a flashlight in the dark!

The one issue I have had is that once in a while when I speed dial a number, it somehow changes who I'm calling to a different number. Not sure why or how that happens, but it is so infrequent its not a problem.

I don't need a camera phone or bluetooth, so this has been great phone for me. In fact, I have the option of upgrading to something new right now, and I'm reluctant to swap it out! :)

3-0 out of 5 stars worth the money
I never did want to take my time to write a review for anything, but now after I read the comment by Mr. David H. about this phone, I just have to throw out some opinions as well.

This phone's setting and navigation system are quite simple to figure out. Here is how you can set or adjust the clock:
Menu --> Organizer --> Clock

Basically I don't have any problem with this phone, including its ringtones. The reason I give it only 3 stars out of 5 is that although its small size makes it look nice and easy to carry around, all the keys are placed too close to one another, which makes it a bit hard to punch a # while driving. Also, internet capability would be nice to have.

I recommend this phone to anyone who just wants a phone that works great, with a reasonable price, and doesn't care much for new technology, i.e. internet capability, bluetooth, and camera.

4-0 out of 5 stars Good basic phone
I think that this phone works perfectly fine if your looking for a basic cell. I havent had any problems with it, and it has good reception as well as clear voices. If your looking for a basic phone, this phone is great.

1-0 out of 5 stars What A Turd!
Dear Consumer,
Run for your very life.I am the bewildered owner of this crappy cell phone. This device is the modern equivalent of, well, (insert your favorite torcher device here.) The heinous organization and navigation of the phone book, and the various settings menus is enough to make your teary with insanity.Even the ring tones (when the phone actually rings that is) are horribly ear piercing.Friends call and the neighborhood dogs cower. You even have to set the clock on the phone, WTF?!(I know clock setting my sound like a crappy gripe, but it was impossible to figure out how to set the clock.) Oh yeah, and don't expect to make more than one call on a charge because two minutes into your second call you will be deafened by the chime that ends your call as the battery falls as dead as a bucket of fried chicken.

2-0 out of 5 stars terrilbe
i hate this phone you cant get a screensaver or id pics and the ringtones are terrible. even if you download one off the internet. it just sounds annonying. ... Read more

4-0 out of 5 stars a good phone, GREAT volume!
I really like this phone. It may be "unhip" according to some, but it's small enough to cart around in a pocket and it won't get you mocked either. Best of all, it gets good reception and after you adjust the speaker volume (must do it during a call, otherwise it adjusts ringer vol), it is LOUD!!! So loud it hurts my ear sometimes! Love it! Great for noisy situations. I got 100 free minutes through the refer_a_friend program and would be happy to explain how it works before you activate - just click on my name to email me.

4-0 out of 5 stars Nice little Access.
This is a good cell phone, if just want to talk, And not be Hip.

2-0 out of 5 stars Good for an year or less - below average
I am using this phone for the past one year and don't have anything good to say except that it picks-up signal in almost all the places with Verizonwireless provider.

The phone as such doesn't come with any extra feauters (like camera or mp3 player) and it is a very basic phone where you could save the phone number and the names. No speaker phone and the maximum volume is also not great.

The connector in the charger (the one that comes with the phone) is really bad, it doesnt make good contact with the phone and many times you will see the message "unable to charge". The advertisement claim longer talk time after each complete charging with my experience i could never talk more than 1.30hrs in one continous strech. It starts beeping with the message "low battery charge".The advertisement claims 240min of talk time whereas it actually give only 180 min.

After year use now it takes too much time to completely charge the phone, more than 4 hrs (my guess the battery is dying). And also the talk time is not 1.3hrs probably an hour or little less.I am struck with this phone as i have signed the contract with verizonwireless for two years.

Also transferring the address book from one phone to other phone is a big hazzle as again problem with the connector provided by the motorola doesnt fit properly on the phone.

Pros:
Good signal with verizonwireless provider

Cons:
Poor battery life
Less talk time
not a sleak one
no extra feauters and no speaker phone
Life time probably just an year

3-0 out of 5 stars this fone is ok
this fone is ok 4 people who dont want alotta extra stuff on their fone.it is an ok fone 4 makin calls cause not a 1 of my calls has EVER been dropped. on the other hand it is hard 2 see sometimes if u have no light or somethin like that...the graphics r bad and the display is dark and sometimes hard 2 see. it has a pretty good coverage range though and it can be used inside a building easily.the ringtones r good most of the time but be sure 2 put it on a loud ringtone if the place u r goin 2 is noisy cause it is sometimes hard 2 hear or u can put it on 1 of the like 4 different vibrate settings it has... otherwise it is a good fone
hope this helps ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars agree with the indestructible part
I've had the phone for a couple of years. I've lost it in the car, dropped it a number of times, just like the other reviewer. The phone's latest adventure was that I lost it in the blizzard in Washington, DC a couple of weeks ago.It fell out of my pocket and got buried in 6 inches of snow, but I didn't notice for an hour or so.By then I was on the other side of the city.I called the people who lived at the place I thought I dropped it, and asked if they could try calling it to find it in the snow. They couldn't hear it.After more than a week, the snow melted enough that they found the phone.I had flown back across the country and even ordered a replacement phone.Their son told me yesterday he had it and brought it to me.It not only fired up right away, but after a little wiggling around it is now even charging back up and seems to work just fine.

5-0 out of 5 stars Nearly Indestructible
I have a bad habit of dropping my cellphones. I have broken and paid for at least 3 cellphones. This ends up being a costly procedure. Cellphones even on the bottom end are usually about $150 US Dollars. I have had my sony ericsson T300 for almost a year and have done worse things to this phone than any other phone I have ever owned. I dropped it 10 feet off a loading dock onto black top STRAIGHT DOWN. It scratched the case, but everything still works fine. I was thrown in a pool with it in my pocket, it fell out of my pocket and remained at the bottom of the pool for several minutes, and after drying it out overnight, it still worked, even though two other people who wound up in the pool with their cellphones had to go to great lengths to get theirs to work again. My only complaint is it is a little slow to respond to menu entries. Signal is much better than my old nokia 3310 and features are amazing for the price. I HIGHLY recommend this phone to anyone who is sick of breaking phones.

1-0 out of 5 stars Stay Away...save your money
I have owned 4 cell phone since I started in this new wave of technology. This phone has been the worst one of them all. The volume on the phone is terrible. The accessaries are VERY limited. The reception is horrible. The only thing I can say good about the T300 is that it is easy to navigate. ... Read more

4-0 out of 5 stars It has games and a calculator
The previous reviewer said i90c doesn't have a calculator or games, that's incorrect. Under "Java Apps", you can find a calculator, a small utility to help calc the tips, and a few games. I've owned this phone for over a year, the quality has been great, but it looks kinda too bulky now so I replaced it with A630.

3-0 out of 5 stars Great quality, but very outdated
This was a fantastic phone 3 years ago, and while it still has that high level of quality that makes Motorola so great, it is very outdated at this point.Without a color screen, a camera, a calculator or calander, this phone isn't good for much more beyond calling people. It has a strong signal with great audio quality, but it doesn't even have any games (oh no!)So while I wouldn't be too hasty to get rid of this phone if it still serves you well, I also wouldn't run out and buy this phone new.

1-0 out of 5 stars Worst service on the planet
If you want the highest monthly bill for the worst service, buy Nextel. I've had Sprint, At&T, and Verizon, all better and cheaper.Bought Nextel for the Direct Connect, what a mistake.Verizon MUCH better. (New York metro area).

3-0 out of 5 stars Phone is ok for typical users...
In my area, Nextel is the preferred carrier for construction companies. As a person who has 50+ nextel phones on my account, I know alot about the quality of these phones.I have seen them dropped in everything. The i90 is weak in the flip. The flip will fall off at the hinges or it will become disconnected inside the housing and quit working. Also the design of the keypad is weak.It is raised so that after using the i90 heavily for a year, the big round button near the top of the keypad begins to wear an imprint into your flip display.

5-0 out of 5 stars Motorola i90
I bought this phone after a very bad experience with Nokia - not the phone but the service offered in our area (Collegeville,PA). Infact, I bought two of these phones - one for myself and the other for my husband. I simply LOVE this phone. The two best features of this phone are: the walkie talkie that is never out of range and so prompt and the speaker which is so clear and as good as any land line. Also, there is a display window on the phone and you don't need to flip it open to see who's calling.
LOVE IT!!!
[NEGATIVEs]
The phone is a little bulky compared to the other ones available in the market; but I would never trade it for anything else.
I had to call the customer service @ Nextel once and they weren't the most pleasant people.

Would highly recommend it. ... Read more

An attractive contoured design, swappable "phone wrap" fashion covers, two-way SMS capabilities, and a reasonable price are some of the highlights of the new Motorola V2397 phone. This unit is a dual-band, dual-mode TDMA phone that measures 6.5 by 2.0 by 1.1 inches, and weighs in at 5.2 ounces. While relatively large, it is lightweight, balanced, and easily portable.

Motorola's characteristic smart-button navigation, commonly seen on the company's StarTAC phones, guides you through the V2397's menu options. The keypad design is less cluttered and confusing than StarTAC phones, however--a definite improvement. Although you still have to use the FCN (function) button to access menu options, all control keys (Function, Store, Clear, Recall) are well spaced. The raised, oval-shaped keypad buttons were quite responsive, and we rarely misdialed a call. The phone felt good to hold, and we could dial one-handed. The four-line screen (two lines of text, two lines of status icons) is backlit and easy to read. A standard 2.5-millimeter communication jack for hands-free devices is integrated into the phone.

The V2397's handy call management features, including scratchpad memory, one-touch speed-dial locations, multiple call timers, and any-key answer, help you organize your communications. You can store up to 99 numbers in the V2397's phone book, although it does not support multiple entries per contact. Entering phone numbers is easy. Just punch in the number and a unique descriptor, and assign it a memory location. The phone has nine ringer tones, although you can't assign a specific ringer to individual phone-book entries. The 30-incoming and 20-outgoing call logs help you keep track of your conversations, although the V2397 lacks a missed-call log. Other missing features include a minibrowser, PIM functions, profile settings, assignable ringers, and vibrating alert. The V2397 does support caller ID, call waiting, voice-mail alerts, and two-way SMS text messaging, which lets you send and receive alphanumeric messages with other devices. Unfortunately, there is no way to tether the V2397 to a PC, so you can't use it as a digital modem, or import your computer's address book to the phone.

To keep your V2397 secure, you can use a four-digit code to lock the whole phone or to restrict outgoing calls to one of 10 numbers stored in special memory locations. You can also block your caller ID information from showing up on a call recipient's phone.

The V2397's NiMH batteries are rated up to 100 minutes' talk time and 110 hours' standby time. In our testing, the V2397 held a call for 105 minutes, and it lasted for 112 hours in standby mode.

A basic phone for everyday use, the Motorola V2397 scores high marks in visual design and reliability, but it lacks many desirable features. Still, interchangeable phone wraps, two-way text messaging, and a very reasonable price are reasons enough to give this phone consideration.

--Thom Arno, edited by Tom Mace

Pros:

  • Impressive new design
  • Swappable phone wraps with an included blue wrap
  • Two-way SMS support

Cons:

  • Awkward menu navigation
  • Lacks several standard features, including Web access

How We Tested Battery Talk/Standby Time

When reading our reviews, you should view the test results of mobile-phone battery talk time and standby time as relative information only. Many variables, including carrier signal strength at your location, signal consistency (including incoming and outgoing calls), display and ringer settings, and battery charging methods and history, will affect performance. When handset manufacturers and mobile phone carriers list talk-time and standby-time ratings, they usually include disclaimers about variable performance and often refer to the times they publish as maximum times. Some quote expected battery life ranges, and in this case you're probably safe to assume you'll experience at least the minimum rated range. Note that manufacturers of dual-mode digital and analog handsets publish battery-life rates for both digital and analog modes, because analog mode consumes much more power than digital mode.

Our Tests: We tested digital mode talk and standby times with each phone. Prior to each test, we fully charged the phone's battery according to the manufacturer's directions. To test digital phone talk time, we turned the phone on, established a digital carrier signal, dialed a number in our test lab, and, when the call rang through, took the receiving phone's handset off the hook. When all went well, we didn't do anything else except record the time when the phone died. In a couple of cases, the phones lost the signal and dropped the calls. If we were right there and could redial, we did so immediately and continued running the test. Otherwise, we halted the test, recharged the battery, and started the test over. Assuming consistent carrier signal strength, this test should represent best-case talk time. And it's worth noting that several phones' talk-time performance significantly exceeded the manufacturers' ratings.

To test digital phone standby time, we turned the phone on, established a carrier signal, and left the phone in standby mode. We checked the phone every few hours (for what was often days on end) until the phone finally cut out. Because no outgoing or incoming calls occurred during testing and because the phone was not moved, this method should represent best-case standby time, again assuming consistent carrier signal strength. ... Hot on the heels on the ubiquitous 8260, Nokia introduced the 3360, a fun, shapely phone with several new features, including picture messaging and changeable front and back faceplates.Truly, there aren't many other phones in this price range that can match the 3360's design, components, and overallvalue.

Here's the tale of the tape: the 3360 measures 4.4 by 1.9 by 0.8 inches, and it weighs 4 ounces. This means the phoneis slightly longer than a business card and weighs the same as today's ultracompact phones. It also has an internal antenna--whichpeople either love or hate--though we never had trouble with call reception. To us, everything about this phone isexecuted correctly; the keypad is well-spaced, it has salient features (even though it can't access theInternet wirelessly), and it's inconspicuous while in use.

Three buttons handle most of the menu navigation: a central oval-shaped key activates the main menu and lets you selectoptions as they appear; the roller-bar navigation key scrolls through menu options; and the "C" (clear) button jumps backa step and erases text-entry mistakes.

Menu choices are: Phone Book, Messages (SMS and voice-mail alerts), Call Log,Profiles (so you can choose how your phone behaves in different environments), Settings (for calls, phone, and security),Forwarding, Games, Calculator, Calendar, Composer (for DIY ring tones), and Keyguard Lock. With the backlit, five-linedisplay (three lines of text, two lines of icons and indicators), we found it easy to navigate through menus and make selections. And here's a definite design improvement on the 8260: the 3360's power button, located on top ofthe phone, is raised a bit so it's easier to use (and find).

Like other phones, the 3360 has a full roster of call and messaging features. If offered by your service plan, it supportscaller ID, call waiting, SMS, voice mail, numeric paging, multiparty calling, and e-mail. Call logs maintain the last 10dialed numbers, 10 most recently received calls, and 10 missed calls. PIM functions includea clock, currency converter, calculator, calendar with room for 50 appointments and reminders, and a 250-entry phonebook.

But, as we said, the 3360 offers a couple of new features (at least for Nokia phones). We logged on to AT&T Wireless's site from our PC so we could download additionalring tones. The 3360 also has eight preset images you can e-mail to your friends--but in order to take advantage of it both people need to have a 3360 that supports picture messaging. You can also download additional images from AT&T Wireless' site, provided your service plan supports this action.

The front and back faceplates are separate, so you can have a two-tone phone if you desire. It was a minor challenge to remove the faceplate on the first try, but it was worth the effort. And while the phone's included gamesweren't enough to take us away from PlayStation 2, we enjoyed Space Impact (sort of Defender meets SpaceInvaders), one of the 3360's four new games. It also features Snake II, Bantumi, andPairs I.

The 3360 offers five basic security features: an initial phone lock, keypad lock, call-restriction modes, and the ability to change access codes at any time.

The NiMH battery is rated for up to 160 minutes of digital talk time and 7.5 days of digital standby time. In ourtests, we got the phone to hold a call for just about three hours, and it lasted for a full seven days in standby mode.

We highly recommend the 3360, and we don't want to give our sample phone back. It looks different from the rest of the herd and has the features we want and need on a daily basis--all for under $100.

If you liked the Samsung A400, you’ll love the A460. With the A460, Samsung has kept all the great attributes of the A400 while adding a few polishes that make the A460 one of the sleekest phones on the market. Like it’s predecessor, it’s packed with easy-to-use features, such as voice-activated calling and one-touch Web access. It also retains the elegant two-tone silver finish. But it’s both lighter and more compact and includes an outside LCD screen, which allows you to see the time, date, and battery life without opening the phone.

About the size of a deck of cards, the phone weighs 3.4 ounces and measures 3.4 inches by 1.81 inches by 0.83 inches. Despite its size, the phone has a solid construction and opens and closes easily without feeling flimsy. The extendable antenna seems a bit fragile and thin, but with a bit of care most callers should have no problems with it. Also handy are the volume and ringer controls on the side of the phone, which let us adjust the phone volume instantly while waiting in line at a coffee shop.

When we opened the phone and switched it on, we were pleased to see that it powered up and was ready to use in about 10 seconds--an impressive feat given the graphic-rich content of the start screen. The keypad is practically flawless, leaving enough space between keys for error-free dialing for those with bigger fingers. The directional key, situated top and center, is a bonus, letting us browse through the phone’s many menus and options without a hitch, which was especially handy while using the wireless Web. The eight-line screen is nicely proportioned and easy to read, both in text size and image clarity, and the four-color gray lends depth to the screen images, giving them a polished look. The soft electric-blue backlighting made dialing a taxi a breeze in a dimly lit lounge. Changing the phone’s ring tones was simple too--the hard part was choosing one of the 23 tones offered. Eventually we settled on a rather psychedelic version of Ludwig Van Beethoven’s Fuer Elise. Ringer volume is also easily adjustable, with eight levels of sound and a vibrate mode that ensures you won’t miss a call. The phone is also equipped to work with downloadable ring tones, available from Sprint for a minimal fee.

One of the best features the SPH-A460 offers is its one-touch wireless Web access. The OpenWave Mobile Browser connected quickly and information from the phone’s preprogrammed news, weather, and entertainment sites loaded smoothly and were easily navigated. Built-in GPS technology lets the phone access location-based and 911 emergency location services (where available)--handy for accessing driving directions or pinpointing where you are when lost. Best of all, the phone is enabled for voice dialing, and we were able to program and call numbers within minutes of picking up the phone. Voice-activated dialing worked well whether we whispered or yelled into the phone, but understandably, it did seem to have a slight problem with our commands as a garbage truck rolled past. Calls were clear and a bit on the loud side, even with the volume turned to the lowest level, but we’ll take too loud over too quiet any day.

Besides the excellent calling features, the e-mail, voice-memo recorder, fax, address book, calendar, and two-way text messaging make the phone an ideal tool for business trips, keeping you connected in more ways than with just a phone call. Or, if you find yourself stuck in an airport or on the train, you can pass time trying to master one of the three rather enigmatic games: Push Push, Fly Ribbon, and Spider Hunter.

We were quite happy to see the battery life exceed Samsung’s guidelines in our testing. The phone held a call for more than 3 hours, and remaining on for 180 hours in standby mode, as compared with its manufacturer rating of 2.4 hours digital talk time and 170 hours of digital standby time.

Once again, we’re thrilled with this solid new addition to the Samsung legacy, and can only look forward to what they’ll come up with next.

  • Games simple, somewhat confusing

How We Tested Battery Talk/StandbyTime

When reading our reviews, you should view the test results of mobile-phone battery talk time and standby time as relative information only. Many variables, including carrier signal strength at your location, signal consistency (including incoming and outgoing calls), display and ringer settings, and battery charging methods and history, will affect performance. When handset manufacturers and mobile phone carriers list talk-time and standby-time ratings, they usually include disclaimers about variable performance and often refer to the times they publish as maximum times. Some quote expected battery life ranges, and in this case you're probably safe to assume you'll experience at least the minimum rated range. Note that manufacturers of dual-mode digital and analog handsets publish battery-life rates for both digital and analog modes, as analog mode consumes much more power than digital mode.

Our Tests: We tested digital-mode talk and standby times with each phone. Prior to each test, we fully charged the phone's battery according to the manufacturer's directions. To test digital-phone talk time, we turned the phone on, established a digital carrier signal, dialed a number in our test lab, and, when the call rang through, took the receiving phone's handset off the hook. When all went well, we didn't do anything else except record the time when the phone died. In a couple of cases, the phones lost the signal and dropped the calls. If we were right there and could redial, we did so immediately and continued running the test. Otherwise, we halted the test, recharged the battery, and started the test over. Assuming consistent carrier-signal strength, this test should represent best-case talk time. And it's worth noting that several phones' talk-time performance significantly exceeded the manufacturers' ratings.

To test digital-phone standby time, we turned the phone on, established a carrier signal, and left the phone in standby mode. We checked the phone everyfew hours (for what was often days on end) until the phone finally cut out. Since no outgoing or incoming calls occurred during testing and because thephone was not moved, this method should represent best-case standby time, again assuming consistent carrier signal strength.

3-0 out of 5 stars Loved it until it died.: (
Loved, loved, loved this phone - cute, lightweight, easy to navigate, well-lit display, good reception, good audio, good battery life - until the external display and then the internal display died. From what I've heard, this is a VERY common problem with this phone. So buyer beware. However, if you can get it with an extended warranty, I'd say buy it.It's that good, when it works.

3-0 out of 5 stars Screen problem
Although 2 or 3 years old, this is a very nice phone, and with phones today having cameras and walkie talkies and whatnot, this phone is actually smaller than most of the phones on the market today.

The problem is that the screen does go dead. Just like the other reviewers, I lost my screen after two years, and I have to turn the phone all the way off and all the way on again to get it back.

But that's not the worst part. The worst part is that you then have to deal with Sprint customer service. I called their independent insurance provider, who told me they couldn't replace the phone unless I went to a store to have it repaired first. After waiting two hours I finally got them to put in a new screen. Three days later, the screen died again. I fully expect to get the runaround again from the insurer.

Ugh.

3-0 out of 5 stars pleased, but time to upgrade though
I know I might be a bit late with this review.however this phone has served me well over the past 2 years.I see that other have had screen problems but mine never had an issue.there were a few times however that the phone did erase my entire phonebook and that is why I gave it 3 stars. the reception was always good, the sound was nice, the clarity of calls was always excellent.I have no complaints about this phone other than the phone book being erased, and that is a big deal.

The ony thing I really hated about this phone was having to be tied into sprint PCS.Because that is part of the phone I will just quickly put out my experiences with sprint.Horrible customer service, several times my phone was shut off by accident.I was told that a customer in my area had a phone number just 1 number different from mine that kept forgetting to pay their bill and that was the reason. No compensation for the time I lost however. Also if you sign up for their optional services be prepared to have them for the duration of your contract.I have tried over 20 times to cancel a minutes reminder I signed up for, as a free trial for 3 months, that now I have been charged $1.50 a month for 2 years because they won't cancel it.I have talked to customer service reps, managers, even tried to cancel online through the sprint website, with no success.Sprint modifies it's plans without warning or notification to you.I also found it hard to obtain new ringers or wallpaper for the phone. It's not neccessary but it is promised by sprint to be easy.the only good thing about the service was the clarity of calls and the reception was decent in my area. However this doesn't outweigh the negatives and I'm switching to T-mobile, who also has good clarity and reception here,my wife has been using them for 4 years now with no problems. My contract is up at the end of this month and so is my time with sprint.

I am however buying another samsung phone.

4-0 out of 5 stars Wonderful Phone - screen goes dead after a year
Like the other reviews on here, I too love this phone.

It's small (small enough to fit into your pocket), has a loud ringer and the call volume is amazing. I'm never saying "What? What did you say?"

I received this phone for free for a replaecment of my previous cell phone from Sprint. I was pleased.

About a year and a half after receiving the phone, the display went blank. This included the display on the outer side of the phone.

I took it back to my local Sprint store to find out that it was a defect in the phone and could be repaired for free.

The panel was replaced and worked again for another two months before it went blank yet again.

Sprint was good on replacing the phone and I received a new one.

I have no complaints on the phone itself, only that the screen is defective.

4-0 out of 5 stars Standout in the second generation phones
This phone is now sitting in the closet of my home.It worked for a little more than two years before it had display problems.I had to turn it off and on again in order to retrieve my phone book entries.During its prime, the phone worked well for me.I will miss it! ... Read more

1-0 out of 5 stars BAD PHONE
MY HUSBAND ACTUALLY HAS THIS PHONE AND EVERYDAY ALL IHEAR IS, " I JUST WANT TO THROW THIS PHONE INTO A WALL." THE BATTERY LIFE IS TERRIBLE AND BOTH THE EXTERNAL AND INTERNAL SCREENS ARE GONE. OF COURSE SPRINT CAN DO NOTHING ABOUT IT AS USUAL. HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE.

5-0 out of 5 stars great sprint phone!!!
I have had this phone for 3 years now I would never get another phone.Over the time I have had this phone.I have droped it... kicked it trying to pick it up.... and have ran the battery to dead several times all for it to recharge back in no time... I recommed the extra long battery for this phone I could go days before a recharge which was great for me.But last week I left it in my pants and threw them in the wash all to find my poor little phone dying at the bottom of the washer.I don't think many pones could even turn on after that abuse... but this one did... and well it doesn't work some part of the circut shorted and it just blinks now... but I just ordered another one and hope for it to be as good as the last one...

5-0 out of 5 stars The LG1200 Phone
I have had no problems with this phone.I use it quite frequently and have had no problems with it.I think if you take care of the phone and use it in a normal fashion, the phone will last as long as any other phone, and I have tried a lot of phones! The flip phone is great as it allows you to save the life of the key pad.I would reccomend this product, and feel very comfortable in doing so.I think most of the problems arise from the carrier and how helpful they are in correcting problems.Choose the right company and you will be happy! I chose a wireless carrier with a Month-to-Month option and can cancel service anytime without any cancellation fees.Maybe that's the way to go.

1-0 out of 5 stars Exterior Display Screen! GONE!
I've had this phone for just a little over a year. The display screen has totally faded, which means that I no longer have an exterior caller ID, which really sucks. I took the phone to Sprint to see what they could do and they told me I was just slightly out my warrantyand I could 1. get a new phone or 2. get the insurance, wait a few weeks and then send in a $35 deductible for a replacement. Well I don't think so. I'm switching to VERIZON. SPRINT REALLY REALLY SUCKS. They don't do anything to keep their customers happy. ... Read more
