1-0 out of 5 stars Worst phone EVER!! 0 stars
The battery on this phone works normal for 3 months. After that you have to continually replace this phone. In my 1 year contract I replaced this phone 3 times. The last time I just gave up and borrowed a friends phone.Don't get this phone!!!

4-0 out of 5 stars Battery Replacement Motorola C332 Phone
You can replace the battery in the Motorola C332 phone.
Remove the case front and back, then using a T 6 screwdriver remove the 6 screws holding the inside assembly together, carefully remove the screen and circuit board (all one piece)from the inside assembly. The battery unplugs just like in a cordless phone. Very carefully unplug the battery. The thinpiece of plastic on the back of the battery should be used on the new battery. A new battery can be purchased from YescomUSA.com part # BTMOTC332L.

2-0 out of 5 stars Cute phone, low quality
The Motorola C332 was my first phone and lasted about 18 months. I was 17 when I got it, and LOVED the look -- it's adorable and small! Unfortunately, the phone is completely low quality! The ringers were WAY too soft to hear -- I missed so many calls because I couldn't hear it...even when in the same room! Dropped calls became second nature...I would normally be dropped after about 14 minutes of talk time, which was annoying. During conversations, there was also much background noise, which I do not hear with my dad's much more reliable Motorola V60!

Now, the phone is 18 months of age and I will be buying a new phone. The battery lasts a total of 8 minutes now before beeping at me with a low battery warning. Unfortunately, the internal battery cannot be replaced, so I am forced to spend money on a brand new phone. I hope my next phone has louder ringers and doesn't drop my calls!

The phone is easy to use and cute, but there is a reason it was withdrawn from the T-Mobile shelves.

Cute phone, loooow quality. Too bad!

1-0 out of 5 stars Horrible, stay away
You can't replace the battery, and it would be at the first bar after a full charge the first day I got it. It will give you 20 minutes talk, tops, and that's brand new. I finaly gave up and bought a cheap Nokia 3595. What a treat! T-Mobel has been good to me, and only charged me $20.00, with a 1 year contract extension. T-Mobile I recomend anyway. I travel a lot, and found reception even in Puerto Rico, when others did not.

1-0 out of 5 stars bad phone bad server
i wish i could sue motorola AND tmobile for selling this phone and continuing to sell it after countless problems were reported and many phones had to be "replaced" (if that's what you want to call them sending you a refurbished phone that's worse than the first one...and then doing it three more times after that just so they can run your warranty time down)and they're still selling them just to get rid of them. trust me, it's been more ofheadache than anything, especially when you're on an important call. i'm amazed that they are still getting away with selling a phone for $99.00 when it's not worth the plastic they shoved it in to begin with. ... 5-0 out of 5 stars Very cool phone
Good phone. But had ordered mine off of Nextels site. They even gave me a code that saved me $50.00. Here it is for you all to share (CL897L) case sensitive. On the shopping cart page. It is like an invoice thing. But I think it is a very good choice. You will enjoy the phone.

1-0 out of 5 stars BAD PHONE
MY HUSBAND ACTUALLY HAS THIS PHONE AND EVERYDAY ALL IHEAR IS, " I JUST WANT TO THROW THIS PHONE INTO A WALL." THE BATTERY LIFE IS TERRIBLE AND BOTH THE EXTERNAL AND INTERNAL SCREENS ARE GONE. OF COURSE SPRINT CAN DO NOTHING ABOUT IT AS USUAL. HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE.

5-0 out of 5 stars great sprint phone!!!
I have had this phone for 3 years now I would never get another phone.Over the time I have had this phone.I have droped it... kicked it trying to pick it up.... and have ran the battery to dead several times all for it to recharge back in no time... I recommed the extra long battery for this phone I could go days before a recharge which was great for me.But last week I left it in my pants and threw them in the wash all to find my poor little phone dying at the bottom of the washer.I don't think many pones could even turn on after that abuse... but this one did... and well it doesn't work some part of the circut shorted and it just blinks now... but I just ordered another one and hope for it to be as good as the last one...

4-0 out of 5 stars It'sanice phone.
I brought a LG1200 last summer and had
no problem with it.I like because it small
andIcan put it in my pants pocket
no belt clip neededfor this phone.
I use it everyday at work andthecalls
are crystal clear.

5-0 out of 5 stars The LG1200 Phone
I have had no problems with this phone.I use it quite frequently and have had no problems with it.I think if you take care of the phone and use it in a normal fashion, the phone will last as long as any other phone, and I have tried a lot of phones! The flip phone is great as it allows you to save the life of the key pad.I would reccomend this product, and feel very comfortable in doing so.I think most of the problems arise from the carrier and how helpful they are in correcting problems.Choose the right company and you will be happy! I chose a wireless carrier with a Month-to-Month option and can cancel service anytime without any cancellation fees.Maybe that's the way to go.

1-0 out of 5 stars Exterior Display Screen! GONE!
I've had this phone for just a little over a year. The display screen has totally faded, which means that I no longer have an exterior caller ID, which really sucks. I took the phone to Sprint to see what they could do and they told me I was just slightly out my warrantyand I could 1. get a new phone or 2. get the insurance, wait a few weeks and then send in a $35 deductible for a replacement. Well I don't think so. I'm switching to VERIZON. SPRINT REALLY REALLY SUCKS. They don't do anything to keep their customers happy. ... Read more

The petite T720i fits in a pocket but still offers some big features, such as a large, color screen; GPRS data transfer that supports EMS, SMS Chat, and MMS; and downloadable games, graphics, and ring tones. Possibly the most exciting feature of the T720i, however, is the included digital camera attachment, which lets you take photos from the phone itself and wirelessly send picture messages.

This phone has a sleek metallic gray exterior and a delicate clamshell design that requires a little more care than Motorola’s more rugged phones, such as the V66. When the cover is closed, an external LCD screen conveniently displays the date, time, and caller ID, plus signal and battery strength. When the flip phone is opened, the stunning 4,096-color screen is revealed.

The 7- to 9-line screen is a large enough palette to take advantage of some of the phone’s key features, such as viewing photos, surfing the Web, or playing rich Java 2-powered games. (MotoGP is included, but more are downloadable from Motorola’s Web site.) A button centered just under the screen takes you to the main menu, which has an intuitive iconic interface. This button is flanked by two other navigational buttons and another round, multi-directional button below helps you navigate through the menu or get right into four different features from the main screen according to your preference. Buttons are well-spaced but the multi-directional joystick-like button was a little bit difficult to control, even for small fingers.

The T720i was one of the easiest phones to set preferences for that we’ve encountered. We programmed all of our buttons to go to the features we used the most and found it very handy. In addition, we customized the color of the main screen to pacific blue, a color choice that offered the best contrast, and set our screen saver to an EMS file of a devil. For our ring tone, we chose Deep Purple’s "Smoke on the Water," which, with the rich harmonies of polyphonic ringers, sounded almost like the original. The phone comes loaded with 50 different ring tones, so you can choose a more conservative ring or download additional choices.

The sound during calls was a little bit tinny but not overly so. Our tests of the voice-activated dialing proved excellent. We recorded the name of our contact with a child screaming in the background and the phone still detected the contact’s name later in a quiet room and dialed her number. The 720i holds up to 500 phone book entries, which is a large amount for the average caller. However, phone numbers and email addresses for one contact are stored as separate entries, filling up those 500 slots much more quickly. While a small letter icon designates which of your two entries is the email address, we still found it confusing.

We sent a text message from the 720i to a friend from our address book and got a quick response, confirming that data transfer was fast. Inputting the message was tedious, but the phone includes a handy list of 10 Quick Notes with common text phrases, such as "Where is the meeting?" and "I am late and will be there in __ minutes." You can even compose and save your own phrases to save time on keying them in.

The hot feature on this phone is its ability to take photos using the camera attachment. The picture-taking feature seems more fun than functional, but might be appealing for professionals such as home inspectors or insurance adjusters who need a cell phone and lightweight camera for their work. The camera snaps onto the bottom of the phone and has an 180-degree rotating lens to photograph everything from shoes to sky and store them as jpeg images in 640 x 480 resolution. It stores up to 48 pictures at a time, which you can then e-mail to friends or view on the T720i’s color screen as a photo album or slideshow. The only downside is that the digital camera shares memory with other digital applications on the phone, so storage space is limited.

Overall we think this is a great phone for early adopters who want all the most recent innovations in one phone—Web access, Java 2 games, MMS, and a digital camera. It’s great for business use but the hip features will likely appeal more to the social cell phone user. --Cristina Vaamonde

Pros:

  • Separate camera attachment for taking photos and sending picture messages
  • Fast GPRS data transfer
  • Java 2 for playing graphically enriched games
  • Easy to customize

Cons:

  • Phone number and Web address for one contact are separate entries in phone book
  • Camera attachment shares phone’s digital memory

How We Tested Battery Talk/Standby Time

When reading our reviews, you should view the test results of mobile-phonebattery talk time and standby time as relative information only. Many variables, including carrier signal strength at your location, signal consistency(including incoming and outgoing calls), display and ringer settings, andbattery charging methods and history, will affect performance. When handsetmanufacturers and mobile phone carriers list talk-time and standby-time ratings, they usually include disclaimers about variable performance and often refer tothe times they publish as maximum times. Some quote expected battery liferanges, and in this case you're probably safe to assume you'll experience atleast the minimum rated range. Note that manufacturers of dual-mode digital andanalog handsets publish battery-life rates for both digital and analog modes, asanalog mode consumes much more power than digital mode.

Our Tests: We tested digital-mode talk and standby times with each phone.Prior to each test, we fully charged the phone's battery according to themanufacturer's directions. To test digital-phone talk time, we turned the phoneon, established a digital carrier signal, dialed a number in our test lab, and, when the call rang through, took the receiving phone's handset off the hook. When all went well, we didn't do anything else except record the time when thephone died. In a couple of cases, the phones lost the signal and dropped thecalls. If we were right there and could redial, we did so immediately andcontinued running the test. Otherwise, we halted the test, recharged thebattery, and started the test over. Assuming consistent carrier-signal strength, this test should represent best-case talk time. And it's worth noting thatseveral phones' talk-time performance significantly exceeded the manufacturers'ratings.

To test digital-phone standby time, we turned the phone on, established acarrier signal, and left the phone in standby mode. We checked the phone everyfew hours (for what was often days on end) until the phone finally cut out.Since no outgoing or incoming calls occurred during testing and because thephone was not moved, this method should represent best-case standby time, againassuming consistent carrier signal strength.

If you're looking for a full-featured, rugged, and extremely portable digital phone to use all over the world, the Motorola Timeport L7089 may fit the bill. This classy, slim phone weighs just 4 ounces with battery and features intuitive control keys and a superclear display that aids operation with well-organized menus. With support for three GSM bands (900, 1800, and 1900 GHz), the Timeport L7089 may be more phone--and more expensive--than casual users need. But for demanding users, particularly international travelers, this one is a winner.

The L7089 measures 5 by 1.75 by 0.8 inches and has a stubby 1-inch antenna. The phone is small enough that you can operate it with one hand, using your fingers to cradle it as you press keys and buttons with your thumb. A swivel-style belt clip is included with the phone, but the phone is small enough that you can comfortably carry it in a pocket and sturdy enough that you won't be overly worried about harming it. The L7089 is bundled with a Jabra EarSet and three international plugs for the AC adapter/charger.

The bright, backlit display with three lines of variable-size text (15 characters maximum per line) and has status icons on a fourth line at the top. Prompts for menu or navigation options appear in small letters along the bottom of the display. The prompts print directly above the Clear (marked "C") key and OK key. Other buttons include a vertical roller-bar key to navigate menus and text, a message button marked with an envelope icon, and a go-back and quick-access key labeled with an up arrow. On the left side, you'll find two volume control buttons and a smart button that launches the phone book. On the right side, at the base of the antenna, is a voice recorder start button. There are 11 ringer tones plus a vibrate mode. The phone book can hold 100 numbers, the SIM card (if supported by the carrier) holds 155, and you can store another 40 numbers in a special fixed list for when you want to limit the phone's use to specific numbers. Any 25 numbers stored in the phone can be assigned Voice Tags for voice dialing. Although this feature is technically supported by the carrier rather than the phone, the L7089 is well set up to support the feature, and we found it quick and easy to use.

Advanced features are explained in the user's manual. The manual's font is so small, however, that while it gets high marks itself for portability, tired eyes might wish for easier reading. If you press the quick-access key, 10 common operations are displayed with an array of icons for such operations as changing service bands, muting the phone, toggling the vibration mode, and reading messages. You can use any of the 25 possible Voice Tags to launch quick-access operations instead of phone-book numbers.

The L7089's call-management and security-features list reads like a phone fantasy wish list. Basically, if your GSM carrier has a service (except Internet access) this phone supports it. From conference calling to caller ID and call forwarding to voice-mail alerts, this Motorola does it all. It supports two-way SMS messages and can be set to receive broadcast messages or alerts, if enabled by the carrier.

The L7089's voice-recorder feature is convenient and certainly easy to use, but its 3-minute capacity restricts it to short notes. A simple press of the record button starts and stops the recording, while the remaining available time counts down on the display.

In addition to phone and keypad locking, the Timeport L7089's security features let you control menu and phone-book access and selectively restrict outgoing and incoming calls.

A port on the bottom of the phone can accept an optional data cable, but the Timeport L7089 already has an infrared port for synchronizing phone-book data with a PC. TrueSync PIM software makes it easy to manage your phone book with a desktop or notebook PC to transfer phone book entries to the phone. No software is included to use the phone as a digital modem for PCs or PDAs, and there is no incoming fax mode.

The Timeport L7089's lithium-ion battery is rated for a maximum 210 minutes' digital talk time and 150 hours' digital standby time. In testing, our sample phone held a call for nearly 210 minutes, but it only lasted for 96 hours in standby mode.

If you don't need multiple phone bands in a single phone, the Timeport L7089 may be overkill. However, even if you only travel within one country, this phone's well-executed design and rich set of calling features are appealing. Casual users may not be interested, but frequent callers will be drawn to this phone. --Testing and evaluation by Brown Consulting Associates, edited by Thom Arno

Pros:

  • Triband capacity for worldwide use
  • Compact size and lightweight in a nicely balanced case
  • Wide range of call-management features
  • Good talk-time battery performance

Cons:

  • International feature set may be overkill for many users
  • Not Web-enabled

How We Tested Battery Talk/Standby Time

When reading our reviews, you should view the test results of mobile-phone battery talk time and standby time as relative information only. Many variables, including carrier signal strength at your location, signal consistency (including incoming and outgoing calls), display and ringer settings, and battery charging methods and history, will affect performance. When handset manufacturers and mobile phone carriers list talk-time and standby-time ratings, they usually include disclaimers about variable performance and often refer to the times they publish as maximum times. Some quote expected battery life ranges, and in this case you're probably safe to assume you'll experience at least the minimum rated range. Note that manufacturers of dual-mode digital and analog handsets publish battery-life rates for both digital and analog modes, as analog mode consumes much more power than digital mode.

Our Tests: We tested digital-mode talk and standby times with each phone. Prior to each test, we fully charged the phone's battery according to the manufacturer's directions. To test digital-phone talk time, we turned the phone on, established a digital carrier signal, dialed a number in our test lab, and, when the call rang through, took the receiving phone's handset off the hook. When all went well, we didn't do anything else except record the time when the phone died. In a couple of cases, the phones lost the signal and dropped the calls. If we were right there and could redial, we did so immediately and continued running the test. Otherwise, we halted the test, recharged the battery, and started the test over. Assuming consistent carrier-signal strength, this test should represent best-case talk time. And it's worth noting that several phones' talk-time performance significantly exceeded the manufacturers' ratings.

To test digital-phone standby time, we turned the phone on, established a carrier signal, and left the phone in standby mode. We checked the phone every few hours (for what was often days on end) until the phone finally cut out. Since no outgoing or incoming calls occurred during testing and because the phone was not moved, this method should represent best-case standby time, again assuming consistent carrier signal strength. ... Sporting a large, 4,096-color display screen and an unconventional, rotary-style keypad, we found the sturdy, feature-rich Nokia 3650 cell phone one of the best designed phones on the market, with excellent ease-of-use, crystal-clear reception, and a camera, video camera, and Internet access.

Take and share pictures with the 3650.
(See detail)
In our tests, we found that the comfortable rounded base of this 5-inch phone rested easily our palm, and the clever retro button display took only a moment of getting used to. The buttons and disc navigation felt quite durable, with a nice, solid action. Menu navigation involves two thin buttons on the top left and right that allowed us to move in and out of menus; then the standard 4-point clickable disc provided more detailed selection. There's a separate button for the main menu prominently below the disc, and the faux-rotary layout of the number buttons helped keep the navigation buttons out of the way during dialing. The requisite call and hang-up buttons are intuitively marked, and a futuristic-looking blue light shines through the numbers on all the buttons for easy keying in low-light areas.

The 3560 delivered consistent, excellent reception in a variety of testing environments, including a basement-level room that typically causes trouble with similar phones. The default ring tones were a bit too gentle for their own good; they were hard to hear in busy outdoor environments. The tones that we created using the composing feature, however, were quite audible, even in the midst of lots of noise. The vibrate alert was also quite effective and hard to miss. Nokia has also preloaded a variety of other polyphonic ring tones for alternate use, as well as a voice-dialing feature, which stores 25 numbers and was easy to use.

In Calendar, you can keep track of your appointments, meetings, birthdays, anniversaries, and other events. You can also set a calendar alarm to remind you of upcoming events.
(See detail)
With the video recorder you can record video clips, and play video clips stored on your phone or on a memory card. Also, the video recorder is integrated with the messaging features allowing you to easily send created clips.

Nokia 3650 provides various functions, in an-easy-to use interface, such as Camera, Video recorder, Messaging, e-mail, Clock, alarm clock, Calculator, and Calendar.
(See detail)

Thanks to high-speed GPRS connection, users can access a variety of Web content, such as news, travel information, and entertainment specifically designed for mobile phones via an XHTML browser, which supports pages written in both HTML and WML (Wireless Markup Language). The 3650's calendar, phone book, and to-do list can all be synchronized with a PC using Nokia 3650 PC Suite software. This phone also supports Java for downloading business applications, and built-in Bluetooth and infrared connections empower users to send photos and text in either e-mail or MMS format to a PC or to another compatible wireless device. Some of the downloadable Java and Symbian applications provided by Nokia through their website include Merriam-Webster Word Search, and games like Racing Fever, Avant Go, and Terminator.

The phone's digital VGA camera is cleverly built in to the back of phone, and can store up to 1,000 photos at 640 x 480 megapixel resolution on its (upgradeable) 16 MB memory card. Also, the Nokia 3650's photo capability is immediately accessible from the top-level display menu, so unlike other phones it was easy to snap a photo at a moment's notice. The camera records images in standard, portrait, and a nighttime mode.

With the same basic set of controls, RealOne software lets the video recording function capture short, low-fidelity sound and video clips for immediate MP4 video playback on the generous screen or for sending to another Web-enabled user. The 15-frames-per-second video recording rate delivers stuttering, delayed images that look sort of like Neil Armstrong's transmissions from the Moon. We found this all very entertaining, and potentially useful for transmitting small bits of information, but hard to take seriously as a true video recording device.

Among the scores of additional features on this phone are text messaging templates, where you create a basic message (like "Let's eat at --- ") then fill in the blank as you wish; a foreign currency and units converter for the jet set crowd, and a "favorites" folder to store Web shortcuts and links. For hearing-impaired customers, Nokia even provides TTY/TDD (Telecommunication Device for the Deaf) compatibility. The headset included with this phone is functional, and Li-Ion battery comes rated for up to 4 hours of digital talk and 200 hours of digital standby time. The phone comes with a refreshingly well-written manual. While decorative faceplates and other accessories are available, we found that even without them, the Nokia 3650 is one of the most coolest phones we've ever laid our hands on. --Erik Hammen

Pros:

  • Great reception
  • Excellent, intuitive user interface
  • Feature-rich
  • Solid build and large display screen
  • Fun camera and video features

Cons:

  • Large phone size to accommodate large display screen
  • Default ring tones a bit quiet.

4-0 out of 5 stars I had this phone for 2 years and loved it!
This phone is a little clunky, but wonderful! The symbian operating system makes this phone infinitely expandable. Some of the programs you can download and install include: eBook readers (to download and read books from the New York Public Library, for instance), remote control software (to control your TV through infrared or your computer through bluetooth), game emulators (I had hours of fun playing games with a game boy emulator).

The operating system supports multitasking, so you can switch back between a phone call and an ebook without ever quitting either program... so you can turn the speakerphone on, and play a game while you're on hold. I grew to like the circular orientation of the number pad... while confusing at first, it made sense after a while.

Also, since the phone's PIM synced up with my Mac (via iSync), I never had to type a phone number or email address into the phone, which made for speedy usage.

The more advanced nature of the phone's operating system makes it prones to crashing. If a program isn't coded correctly or it crashes, this phone is prone to go into a "reboot loop", where the phone can't start anymore, and the only remedy is to take it back to T-Mobile or Nokia through the warranty. Meaning, if a program crashes your phone (which happened 3 times over 2 years to me), you have to get the phone replaced. Not good. So make sure you have a carrier with EXCELLENT customer service (like T-Mobile, as opposed to Cingular or Sprint).

Overall, I loved the phone, and the benefits far outweighed the costs.

5-0 out of 5 stars Use the Treo600/650 With Sprint $10 Visions access!!

The New-Age Treo's are the best smart devices ever made! I have used the T-Mobile Sidekick, the AT&T Motorola MPX, a Nextel Blackberry, a Samsung i600, and even an older style Treo in the form of the Treo 300. And out of every smart device I have ever used, the Treo 600 and 650 are 1000 times better then any of them!

1# The Treo's have large color screens with full keyboards, but are still small enough to fit in your pocket.
2# The battery life is insanely long! Both of the new Treo's claim four to five hours talk time, I have found even longer. I often lay in my bed at night surfing the web for hours and hours, and by the time I am ready to go to sleep, my Treo 600 and 650 still have enough battery life to go a few more rounds.
3# Because the Treo's are so popular the prices for accessories, software, add-on's, ect are Much cheaper then those for the other types of smart devices on the market. There is even talk by Palmone to start using Linux as the Palmsource software core, so there will be even more software available. And because Linux is open source, the phones will eventually be cheaper then those running the Microsoft Pocket PC. With the added bonus of the dependability of Linux!
4# Because the Treo's are of the Candy-Bar style design, they are much easier to talk on. Because there is no flip, or antenna to fumble with.
5# There is a software lancher called "ZLauncher" which has many features for your Treo's software interface. One of which allows you to see the exact level of signal strength. By using this tool you can so how much better the Treo's antenna and related components work, compared to any other phone on the market. I get a great signal with Sprint, but with Sprint and my Treo, my service is even better! I get signals with my Treo in places where my Sanyo and LG did not. In fact, I get better signal strength with my Treo, then my friends get with their phones!
6# Palmone has a patent on a new design of smart device that they are working to bring to the market. A design nothing like the designs currently available. A PDA phone that will be thinner and still able to have a large full color screen and keyboard. SO the next generation of Treo's will be even better!

The only downfall to the Palmone Treo's today, is price. That is because they are still new to the PDA phone market. Once they start making more and more phones, the prices will come down. And once they restructure their PDA manufacturing and company purpose in general, the prices will come down. I don't normally write reviews on phones, because I used to be a Die-Hard Motorola phone fan, and I guess still am. But if Palmone keeps making phones this perfect, then I will only buy their phones for the rest of my life! I can not say enough good things about these phones! Try one and see what I am talking about. Use it with Sprint PCS's $10 unlimited Visions access!

1-0 out of 5 stars Hinge Jerry-Rigging Suggestion
Don't buy this product. It is absolutely the most frustrating piece of equipment I have ever owned.Like 99% of people who buy this phone my hinges broke.Once SuperGlue stopped working I attemped several different methods of fixing the hinges myself. Currently my 270 is no longer hinged on the top.It now opens out to the right side thanks to a beautifully inexpensive hinge made out of Scotch packing tape.Needless to say it is not functioning as a phone. If you're using yours as a PDA only like I am, then you can try this. I would like to have fixed it the proper way but after reading the experiences that others have had with PalmOne and TMobile, it's not worth it.

1-0 out of 5 stars This product is a FIASCO!
Same problem of the other people: the flip hinge has broken after only some months of gentle use.
I returned my phone for a repair and Palmone - damn they - charged me for a substitution. I was not happy with this but I accepted (damn me!). The Palm substitution model has a worst problem: after a while of a normal conversation, the full charged Palm shuts down for charging problems. Call back the call center for a money back but they won't give me back my money 'cause they repaired the original problem. Sigh! It is the last time I buy a Palm phone! Very Upset!

1-0 out of 5 stars Thankfully this phone is discontinued!!!
I had the pleasure of using and returning three Treo 270 phones due to various phone problems. After the first incident, I thought it was that particular phone. After going through two other phones, now I know why this phone is discontinued.

Don't even bother trying to go back to PalmOne, all they can do is apologize for the bad phone and ask you to send it in for repair. You pay the shipping cost and they don't even provide a loaner phone any more.My phone is still in repair and everytime I check the status, it appears the shipping date gets pushed back farther!

After reading the reviews for the newer Treo 650, I am not sure if I want to upgrade to that version either.I might have to look elsewhere.

4-0 out of 5 stars Good, Not Great
My primary motivation for getting the device was its low bundled cost, but my economic situation has changed, so I would likely have gone with a different provider, i.e. Verizon, as well as a different phone. My previous smartphone was a Kyocera 6035.

I was aware of the broken hinge issue, but I am careful to leave mine in my shoulder bag or in the cradle.

The phone itself is very good, and I manage most of the information via Palm software.Entry while on the go is good, but I am more proficient with writing, as on the Palm devices, and this requires using the keyboard, a benefit to some.Dialing is done via one of three ways, either via quick numbers setup by the user, which is the default view, via the Palm address book, or directly, by typing numbers in.The date book is the same as on the Palm, only the screen is a bit smaller. The Palm functioning is similar, and the applications I use in addition to the Palm software are Vindigo, which can be synchronized remotely, an RSS reader, for scanning headlines on the go, and Adobe reader, for importing books into the Palm device and readong on the go.In addition to James Joyce's Ulysses, I bring with me various articles as PDF's.The only real limitations with the device are with the e-mail and web browsing aspects, since the screen is bit small

As to the service in NY, I've been very happy with the strength of signal I get, and I've had only a few quality issues. ... Read more

With its changeable faceplates, 35 differentringer tones, fax and e-mail capabilities, and ever-increasing world of accessories, the 5190 isdesigned for fun, general-purpose use. Furthermore, the5190's dual-band/tri-mode operation ensures you'll be able to receivecellular service anywhere it's available.

Weighing in at 5.2 ounces(including battery), the 5190 measures 5.2 inches high, 1.4 incheswide, and 0.7 inches deep, not counting a stubby antenna that extendsanother 0.7 inches. As a moderate-weight, midsize phone, the 5190 ishighly portable. It's also extremely rugged in typical mobile phoneenvironments--including being thrown into bags and cases andoccasionally dropped on the ground.

Four buttons handle most of themenu navigation: a hefty button in the middle that Nokia calls the Navikey, up and down arrow buttons that control volume during calls, and akey marked "C" for "clear." Menu navigation is very intuitive. If youtap the Navi key, the first of a series of graphical menu items popsup. Hit the Navi key again to drill down to options within the menu ortap the up or down arrow keys to choose a different menu. The top-levelmenu choices are phone book, messages (SMS and voice mail alerts), calllog, settings (for calls, phone, and security), call forwarding, games(Memory, Snake, and Logic), clock, tones, and keypad lock. If you like distinctive ringing tones, you'll be satiatedwith the 5190, which lets you select from 35 preprogrammed tones toamuse or annoy yourself and others. Set your phone to play reveille onincoming calls and see who salutes, or choose "The Mexican Hat Dance"to get your feet moving. While there's no internal vibration mode, anoptional vibrating battery is available--a pleasant break from the 30ring tones, perhaps. The 100-name phone book is relatively small, compared to other phones. Then again, the phone is truly designed forpersonal use, so it doesn't necessarily need to have an advancedphone's capacious phone book. Seven numbers can be assigned one-touchdialing locations--to dial one, you simply press and hold thecorresponding key (2 through 8).

The Nokia 5190 has the usual--butstill impressive--array of standard call and messaging features. Ifsupported by your carrier, you can use this phone with caller ID, callwaiting, call forwarding, and voice mail alerts. A call historymaintains the last 10 dialed numbers, 10 most recently received calls, and 10 missed calls. The phone supports two-way SMS text messaging, butis not WAP- or Internet-enabled.

There are four types of basicsecurity with the Nokia 5190: different call restriction modes, phonelock, and access code storage. There is no standard method ofconnecting the 5190 to a PC or other device. While this phone doesn'thave a standard headset jack, options abound for hands-free use, aswell as a universe of compatible accessories, from car connection kitsto the aforementioned faceplates. Also, the 5190 can be tethered to a pcor other computing device for data transmission.

The 5190's NiMH battery is ratedto last for an impressive maximum 195 minutes of digital talk time and200 hours of digital standby time. In our testing, we achieved 180minutes of digital talk time and over 225 hours of digital standbytime. And it only took two hours for the phone to recharge.

Pleasantand even fun to use, the Nokia 5190 makes menu navigation a breeze.Choose your favorite faceplate color and ringer tone and shock theworld! --Testing and evaluation by Brown Consulting Associates

  • Portable; intuitive to use
  • 5-line screen
  • Hundreds of changeable faceplates available
  • Huge range of Nokia and third-party accessories

3-0 out of 5 stars Becky (in Atlanta)
I wanted a PDA Phone w/Palm OS.I did lots of research and finally I purchased my "like new" Tungsten W from Amazon's market place for its "relatively" attractive price.Within a month, the phone failed (Palm OS was OK).I have to send it in to for repair.Somehow, my serial number was associated to a different model of Palm.So they sent me a wrong one and I have to do the exchange again.I was very unhappy about the mix up and delay.

Because it did not come with a headphone, so it took some time for me to research and finally picked "Ternary Flip Cover", which allow me to use the PDA more like a regular cell phone. However, the answer button stop working after 4 or 5 months. It is getting very cracklely when I use the phone.I just ordered a Nokia head phone from Amazon a few weeks ago but it won't ship until May.

It only came with a USB cable rather than a cradle. (Not sure if a new one comes with a cradle?)The little plastic parts are broken off.I once tried a charger from Belkin but I was disappointed that it did not fit the Tungsten W very well.

My Tungsten W frustrates me increasingly. It is locking up a lot when I try to use the phone. In turn, it drops my calls. It even reset itself quite often.I am tempted to switch back to my old Motorola but I love the Palm OS.I am torned.

In a nut shell, I would give the Palm OS on Tungsten W 5 stars, but I only give 1 star to the phone.

AT&T and Cingular in merge, it work great. the speed is fancy on Web Pro 2.1. If complain about Palm 4 OS, simple get Tungsten W 1.0 update to get 4.1.1, it improve much better and less problem and fair speed.

A wireless customer....
Your "MINUSES" are some wrong.... There is pop-up notification of SMS messages. There is graffiti area, if install Jot which allow you to do graffiti on screen, keep practice and it getting much comfortable. I still like use keypad than rather graffiti. :)

"You have to delete the SMS outbox and inbox messages one by one"
It's pretty normal for almost every mobile, stop whine about it, you should be happen if you accident delete whole thing.

Only thing I complain about these Tungsten W... the software from website at PalmOne offer Update Tungsten W 1.0 which avaiable only on Mac OS 9.x, not OS X support, so, I had to go to my friend's PC (Windows XP) in order to get whole Palm OS update on W.

2-0 out of 5 stars Worked, but not Durable
I bought this device because I wanted to have a PDA and phone in one single unit. It worked well for a while, then the ear jack slot would not work. So I was constrained to use only the PDA function. Within about 6 months of use, I observed the battery would run down quickly. Presently, I cannot get it to come on; and I bought it early 2004. During the time it worked, it was cool, but it appears it cannot take the kind of rigors expected of such a device. Believe me, I am not a careless person.

1-0 out of 5 stars Run and hide. Don't let the palm man get you!
I bought one of these things 4 months ago. It broke. Palm won't fix it. Palm want's 100 bucks to replace it. Palm wants me to use a on line form to pay up front and start a repair order. Palms on line repair order cgi script doesn't work (makes you wonder who does the programing on the palms. Palm says write back to us and we will start a SRO (service repair order). Did that about 4 weeks ago, haven't heard a word.

In short

The worst warrenty and the worst support of any company I have ever delt with.

5-0 out of 5 stars Dont Wait- BUY THIS PALM PILOT!!
This is the best Palm Pilot on the market today. This is reccomended to all long time Palm fans. Yes, it is a mobile office! Just to show the mobility of this product, I am writing this entire review on the thumb keyboard! The Hi-Resolution screen is absoloutely unbeatable. I LOVE THE PALM TUNGSTEN W!!

12/19 UPDATE
I am only a 12 year old boy, and now I admit my general compliments were a bit premature. The contact between the SIM receptors on the palm is FAULTY. The door is loose and if held screen side up, sometimes it says the sim could not be found, so then the phone turns off and it has to find the sattelite all over and blah blah blah. On my previous Samsung flip-phone,the SIM holster held the SIM to the recievers, something those stupid engineers at Palm should have immitated. The only reason to open your wallet for this Palm is for the phone, and if that gets busted, why not save a couple hundred bucks and get the much faster better OS running Tungsten E. Amazon wont let me take back my 5 star rating so just let me say I give 2 stars. ... Read more

Like other Nextel phones, the i58sr is built tough for construction and utilities industry users, or for anyone who needs a rugged wireless phone. The i58sr's candybar design features a black and white, backlit LCD that displays time, call information, battery and signal strength, emails, address book entries, wireless web content and more. The trademark Direct Connect and menu scrolling functions can be controlled from the side of the phone. A standard 2.5mm headset jack is also provided, and a multi-directional selection button controls most of the phone's user-friendly menus and options.

The i58sr's built-in address book can store up to 250 contacts for quick and easy management of phone numbers and email addresses. A vibrating alert can be set when you want to receive calls and messages in quiet or very loud situations. A built-in speakerphone makes it easy to talk without having the phone to your ear and a three-way calling feature lets you combine two ongoing phone calls into one conversation.

One of the key features of any Nextel phone is support for Nextel's Direct Connect walkie-talkie technology. Messaging, Internet and Tools
The i58sr features support for two-way mobile-to-mobile or mobile-to-email text messaging (Nextel messaging charges apply). T9 text entry, which is a technology that makes it easier for people to enter words and text on handsets, is built into the unit-- a plus for mobile email and text messaging users.

Nextel's optional Nextel Online package allows you to read and send e-mails, exchange instant messages and view your favorite web content on your phone. Nextel Online also features games, realtime news and sports updates, virtual address books, and more-- all delivered to your Nextel phone.

5-0 out of 5 stars Great Phone
Boasting over 4 hours of available talk time battery life, the i58sr is a favorite.Available in Yellow/Black or Black/Grey two tones, this phone comes equipped with Speakerphone, One Touch Direct, and is GPS enabled. But had ordered it off of Nextels site. They even gave me a code that saved me $50.00.Here it is for you all to share (CL897L) case sensitive. On the shopping cart page.It is like an invoice thing. But I think it is a very good choice. You will enjoy the phone.

3-0 out of 5 stars Yin & Yang: Wake up Motorola!
The Good: Finally, somebody else realizes the benefit of a rubber coating and its durability. Panasonic's Duramax was my favorite, but it's discontinued. I'm surprised no one makes rubber snap on covers for all the phones. Drop the phone, chances are good it won't break. Moisture resistant (not clothes washer resistant, neither was my Duramax). Scratches nil. A good work phone for tough environments.

The built in speaker phone is great. I especially like the adjustable font size, which sold me on this phone. Color is prettier, but what good is it if I can't see the text? The bland screen makes up for appearance with function...good contrast for seeing even in direct sunlight.

The Not So Good: The speed dial numbers are set automatically and cannot be user defined without erasing the entire entry and info for the person/number auto-assigned to that specific speed dial number. You assign the speed dial number, and it erases whatever occupied it, completely. The logic of this completely evades me. All data for the deleted entry has to be re-entered. Also, every number gets assigned a speed dial number. No choice.

The larger extended life battery was standard with my phone. The design doubles the thickness of the phone. Each battery size requires a different battery cover, most of which are not rubber coated, and sold separately from each battery. Drop the phone on the backside with these covers, it will break. If you have several batteries, plan on having to keep track of the appropriate cover that goes with it. More things to lose.

So far I cannot get the long life battery to last 1 day, with minimal use. The advertised rated talk time is nowhere near reality. I've bought a smaller battery and smaller cover and testing the standby and talk times. May be the long life battery I received is almost DOA.

The battery can be overcharged and damaged, and the charger provided does not detect this and shut off. Aftermarket chargers claim they protect the battery from this.

Bottom Line: You want a very basic durable working person's phone, this is a good one. You want pretty and color and small with lots of ring tones and gizmos, this is not.

Lots of decent accessories available. Car charger is a must.

Wish Motorola would fix the speed dial software, such a basic thing on most all phones. The battery/cover designs are ridiculous. Should be one battery cover for all.

4-0 out of 5 stars Works Well
I have had this phone for about a year now.My husband is very careless with his phones (always dropping them, leaving them in the wrong places) and so far, this phone has lasted with him.The only reason I gave it a 4 is the phone is bulky and not very attractive. Also it does not work in some basements and areas at my school. ... 5-0 out of 5 stars Awesome Portable Office
I get a bazillion corporate emails a day and I've gotten pretty sick of hauling the laptop home every evening and on weekends just to keep up. I knew a BlackBerry was a good solution but I had no idea how productive/addictive they were. (I guess they call them CrackBerries for a reason.)

I had an opportunity to try three different BlackBerries. The Cingular 6280 (screen too small), the Cingular 7280 (color screen was hard to read and it was too small) and the T-Mobile 6710. I stuck with the 6710 for the obvious reason. The screen size! It's perfect and very easy to read. The larger screen makes reading emails or the whole calender, especially in agenda view and browsing WAP websites a breeze.

Phone conversations are also crystal clear with no volume issues.

It also comes with a Desktop Cradle (neither Cingular BB came with a cradle). Only complaint is the cradle is RS232 instead of USB.

The battery life is also supurb.

All in all, it's an awesome device and it doesn't leave my side.

4-0 out of 5 stars Trusty little guy
I've had this phone for over two years, travelling, dropping, and using it under lots of different situations. No back-light troubles or anything.

The only reason it doesn't get a 5th star is that its reception is not the greatest. My wife has the Vox 8500 and the signal strength is consistently better on hers than mine. But still, it's never left me stranded.

BTW, I got a chrome face-plate for mine and the blue light with the chrome surround still looks great!

1-0 out of 5 stars Bad Buy
I loved this phone, but the screen went blank after about 7 months and i could never read anything unless it showed up for a second, but i assumed this was becuz i had dropped it a few times so i went out and bought another... well about 7 months later again, the screen is blank, the backlight comes on and it works fine, good clearity during calls but no words on screen so i cant tell what i'm doing or who just called me or whatever... and the ringtones arent the greatest either... Now days, buying this phone is useless considering all the new and improved phones that come out every other day ...

4-0 out of 5 stars A great phone!
I have had mine for about three years now; they don't make them anymore and that made me feel obsolete. But I like this phone; easy to navigate, nice blue background and only needed features, no fluff stuff.I recently traded up to a new cell phone and plan and have given this one to my 15 year old son. It's got enough games and ringtones to keep him occupied with it for awhile. This is a very reliable little phone.I have not had anything happen to it such as fading or lines on the screen, etc. as other reviewers have.LOVE! LOVE! LOVE!

5-0 out of 5 stars Lets Be Fair
The thing I've noticed about cell phones is that they're a lot like shoes. Generally speaking you get what you pay for.
That being said, it's important to remember why you're buying a cell phone. If you want a slick little number with a nice metalic casing, gameboy quality graphics, and a thousand and one features then no, this is not the phone for you.
If say you're an active teenager, or someone who tends to lose and abuse cell phones and other small things that need to be carried at all times, or hitman that needs a nice throw away phone with someone elses name on it, then you've found your phone.
The reception is great, the plan is simple and non-invasive, the features are few but ideal, and most of all it's just a good knock around phone. No, you're not going to have it forever. And NO, you're not going to be impressing the ladies with it. But if you're looking at any of the phones in this price range then it's highly likely that you already know how you're going to use it, and neither of these things is a huge priority.
This phone is worth the money because it's designed for people who know that this is not the only one they're ever going to have.

2-0 out of 5 stars Screen WILL go out.
A wonderful phones at first, but it not like its entry level sibling the Kyocera 2119 (or 2135) which is very durable.

The screen goes wacko after 1 year, you have to press HARD an the VM logo to make it go back on.

The reception is wonderful and it works everywhere. If you are using this as a teenager's phone or a backup, its okay. ... Read more

Early Adopters Pick:March 2003One of the most-feature packed cell phones in the world, the P800 integrates a slick PDA, digital camera, MP3 player, and a MPEG-4 video player into an elegant package.

Sony Ericsson’s long-awaited smartphone is here and there’s no question that the P800 lives up to its pre-release hype. The body is a little clunky for using the phone features, but the bulk can be excused when you consider that the P800 integrates a tri-band GSM phone, Symbian-based PDA, digital camera, MP3 audio player, and MPEG-4 video player into one handheld unit—and does it very well.

At first glance, the P800 appears to have a small screen and few features besides dialing and viewing your call list. However, flip down the translucent blue plastic keypad and a full 40-by-61-millimeter screen with a loaded menu is revealed. The buttons on the flip-down keypad are tiny and difficult to fully depress so we recommend accessing the phone features from the touchscreen with the stylus. This makes dialing on the run more inconvenient, but the touchscreen functionality is much more polished and impressive. For those who prefer to only use the touchscreen, the flip is detachable. A trim panel included with the phone replaces the flip for a clean appearance. Accessing the your contacts is easily facilitated with the jog dial, keeping all your phone numbers quickly at hand.

The P800’s integrated digital camera is simple to use—just aim the CommuniCam at your subject and press the Cam button on the right side of the phone to release the shutter. Photos can be assigned to a contact in the phone book; doing so will enable picture caller id for incoming calls. Images can also be sent to friends’ email addresses or phones that are equipped to handle images. In our tests, e-mailing an image to our laptop was instantaneous. This smartphone’s 12 MB of internal memory can store about 100 photos at the best quality level (640 x 480) and double that for lesser quality photos. An additional 16 MB removable Memory Stick Duo ups the ante, providing additional storage space for more pictures, data, and applications. Max resolution on the CommuniCam is 0.3 megapixels, and it lacks a built-in flash. However, it’s great for taking spur of the moment shots or close up images. In comparing images taken with the P800 against those taken on competing camera phones, we found them to be a bit more grainy and with slightly less color saturation.

MP3s were easy to load onto the P800 and transfer speed was a few minutes per file—about what we’d expect. We tested the volume on an MP3 of Fred Eaglesmith’s Carmelita while driving on a noisy highway and found that this phone can really crank the tunes. The sound is pretty sharp when using the phone’s built-in speaker, but a little muddied when listening through the included headphones. A pre-loaded video clip showcases the wide range of motion and sound that the P800 can handle. We were impressed with the crispness of a child’s laugh and the boom of an announcer’s voice on a movie trailer. The fast movements in the video clip are easy to follow but, similar to the issue with photos, the picture lacks vivid color on the 12-bit display and is a bit fuzzy.

The PDA functions of the P800 are integrated very nicely. The P800 comes with a docking station to sync up information with a desktop computer, or you can use either the built-in IR or Bluetooth connection. Resting the phone in the docking station took a bit of practice, as the phone rocks back into position. There is a convenient notch to store the stylus in as well. The calendar, task list, and jotter are easy to populate using the excellent handwriting recognition tool, or a virtual keyboard as an alternative. We were able to write notes and schedule appointments pretty quickly with both. Installation of the included software suite was straightforward and successfully synched information between the phone and our laptop. The PC Suite software only works with Windows 2000, Me, and XP so Windows 98 users will want to wait for an update before purchasing this smartphone.

The P800 has a multi-functional browser that allows Internet access and supports e-mail and MMS. A button on the right side of the phone gets you right to the browser and while connection time is not swift it’s comparable to that of competing phones. There are four games included with the phone: Chess, Solitaire, Men In Black 2:Alien Pursuit, and Stunt Run. The first two are basically what you would expect, and the second two are pretty capable Java-based shooting and driving games. The large touchscreen lends itself very well to this application, and many more games & applications are available for download via the Internet. Additional P800 goodies include support for animated screensavers, 10 preloaded wallpaper images, and 16 rich polyphonic ring tones.

This phone is designed to appeal to the business set, but the ideal owner for this phone will be an early adopter with a craving for the latest elegant innovations in smartphones.

--Cristina Vaamonde

3-0 out of 5 stars Good phone, average PDA

I have had this phone for about a year and a half.I bought it because I didnt want to carry a phone and pda in my pocket. The phone is good, as good as any other phone. With a handsfree, the volume is excellent but without the handsfree, not so great.Reception wise, its good but not as good as most Nokia phones. I know a friend who lives in a remote area who has trouble with it but doesnt have trouble with the Nokia phones.

The best part about the phone is the ability to write on the screen - better than the Palm pilot series - i have got so used to writing on the phone that i can write almost at normal speed.I just use my fingernails to write in fact.

The cover of the phone is problematic - the buttons on the phone numbers are hard and not so easy to press.the cover rests on the sides of the phone by two little knobs that jut out - these have broken off twice - the cover then doesnt work because the buttons are no longer aligned with the touchscreen - i know a friend of mine had the same problem.

The camera is easy to use but Im not sure who wants to have a camera with this kind of resolution - its good for kicks and if your somewhere and absolutely have to capture something and dont have a regular camera handy. For the business user, cell phone companies should drop the camera from the phones.

The syncing with outlook is a major problem - when i synced it, all 2000 odd email addresses on my outlook loaded here - though i have bought extra storage, the phone takes about 5 minutes to load if its switched off and put on again.

I have not figured out the email and Im not sure I want to install it if the address book syncing is any indication - i would love to have a blackberry type facility with new emails coming into the gadget automatically but im worried that if i sync the emails, several thousand emails will land into the phone and jam the thing.

I enjoy the writing on the screen bit and the pda functions - i can have a huge address book and can dial or message out from the contacts folder.

the sms facility is wonderful - I can store over 5000 messages whereas with most regular cellphones, its about 30 or so.

Overall, if (a) you want to have a phone cum PDA; (b) are not interested in accessing email the way it works with blackberry; (c) want to write on the screen rather than use miniscule keypads; then this phone is worth it.I would rather however look at Sony Ericson's later offerings and see if they provide the blackberry facility.

4-0 out of 5 stars The phone is great but T-mobile service area is lacking
I have had this phone for roughly 1 year. I find the phone to be a very good phone and a average PDA. I enjoy many of the phone features such as bluetooth which works well with the jabba bt headset and outlook synchro. The ring associations with contacts I love and I also use it to retrieve smtp email. All of which work flawlessly if I am in a Tmobile area.

I highly recommend this phone or the upgraded P900

4-0 out of 5 stars What a phone!
It almost has it all. I like the cam, PDA, the browser, MP3 player with the unlimitted storage space thanks to the Duo Stick. When I finish palying with all the toys that this phone has, I simply download more fun things from the different vendors, like a video capturing software, TV remote control, unlimitted games, etc. The only 2 weaknesses in this phone are the price and the key pad, but it's detachable.

3-0 out of 5 stars Good mobile Phone
p800 is a good mobile phone, but service is poor.

3-0 out of 5 stars Good Phone...Poor Service
Since I travel to Europe often, I purchased this so I can swap SIM cards between countries. It works great in the UK, Iceland and Germany but T-Mobile's coverage in the Hampton Roads, VA is still in its infancy.I've also noted in other parts of the US that I travel, coverage is less than desirable. I think T-Mobile needs to spend more money on towers and less on advertisements.I'd have to give the phone 5 stars, and T-Mobile only one star. ... Read more

Amazon.com Product Description

Sporting a smaller form factor than earlier BlackBerry devices, the 6210 is the perfect tool for mobile professionals. This integrated dual-band GSM phone, email client (with support for corporate email servers), organizer and web browser will keep you in touch wherever you roam.Design
The 6210 follows the standard BlackBerry form factor, but with a slimmed-down profile. The grayscale screen, which can display up to 15 lines of text, is placed above a QWERTY thumbpad. The screen offers plenty of real estate to view your emails, web browser content, messaging sessions and attachments. The popular BlackBerry user interface is here, too, which makes it easy to navigate the phone's functions. A jog dial is located on the right side of the unit for quick scrolling through menus and emails. There's also a standard 2.5mm headset jack that can be used with the included headset. A removable lithium-ion battery is housed in the rear of the unit, and there is a USB port for email, address book and calendar synchronization.

Calling Features
Many of the calling capabilities folks have come to expect in a wireless phone are present in the 6210. A vibrating alert is provided, as is a contacts list/address book that is limited only by the unit's 16 MB of internal memory. Make and receive calls with the built-in microphone and speaker, or use the included headset for handsfree operation.

Messaging, Internet and Tools
The 6210 delivers the legendary BlackBerry email experience. With AT&T's BlackBerry service plans, you can receive emails instantaneously from your personal and enterprise email accounts. With BlackBerry push technology, you don't need to retrieve your email. BlackBerry devices are designed to remain on and continuously connected to the wireless network, allowing you to be discreetly notified as new email arrives. Support is also built-in for viewing email attachments (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, WordPerfect, and PDF formats).

If your company has BlackBerry Enterprise Server installed, you can take advantage of the power of wireless calendar synchronization. Your calendar events are exchanged wirelessly and automatically so that your desktop calendar and BlackBerry device calendar are synchronized. All your Outlook meeting requests, changes, and updates are instantaneously synchronized with your desktop. Make meeting requests, invite new attendees and more, all on your 6210. Users without Enterprise Server support can manually sync with their desktop calendars and contacts via USB using the included BlackBerry Desktop software.

Use the 6210's Web browser to access the Internet from the palm of your hand. Browse Web sites, get up-to-date stock quotes, read the latest news, check weather reports and more. Wireless text messaging is also supported by the 6210. Also, 6210 ships with a number of tools, including a calculator with a unit converter, and a to-do list.

Vital Statistics
The RIM BlackBerry 6210 weighs 4.80 ounces and measures 4.45 x 2.91 x 0.83 inches. Its lithium-ion battery is rated at up to 5 hours of digital talk time, and up to 12 days of digital standby time. It runs on the 900/1900 GSM/GPRS frequencies. The phone comes with a one year limited warranty.

3-0 out of 5 stars Pretty Good
The V60 i loved for about 6 months then a relitive got got a Sanyo 4700 with Sprint.I laiked that much better because the voicemail told you who your message was from, aqnd the ringers sounded better and were much louder. My other complaint was major when about 18 Months after haveing the phone my antenna broke off and was lost.AT&T would only give me a refurished Nokia 1260 which was not a nice or as expensive as my phone, and would only give it to me if I gave them my V60 and a 1 Year contract. So since I only had another 6 Months I did nothing about the phone, but I went to a smaller plan and gat a Samsung A600 with Sprint and have no Complaints, because the Motorola literraly whold only work in the AT&T Wireless Location.

Looks nice, works well, and doesn't have extra stuff that you don't actually use. Just everything you NEED, making it a resonable price.

1-0 out of 5 stars Class action suit against AT&T & Motorola
I am researching a class action lawsuit against AT&T and Motorola. I have statistically researched both of my phones, and have peoved them to be defective. They both have %70 failure rates, in major cities, with full charges, and full antena reception. Our phones have been overcharging us continually hundreds of dollars ecach month. Every answer you will get from both is that it is your problem, not the phone or your service operators company. They are lying, they are aware this model is defective.I am looking for others with similar complaints, to join the suit. If you have suffered from the same problems contact attv60iclassaction@Yahoo.com to join the class action.

5-0 out of 5 stars Excellent Phone and Service Provider
I upgraded to the V60i a few months ago and have been very satisfied with it. The compact size makes it easy to carry and it comes with a clip, so that I can hook it to my purse strap or belt.

I have no complaints about reception even though quite a few of my friends in the area have major problems with the reception on their phones. This may be due to the AT&T service and not the phone, but it is worth mentioning as I have never had calls drop out nor lost signal.

What I like most about this phone though is the alarm clock funtion. I am able to have many different alarms at one time. This comes in handy due to a changing schedule - I can just select a preset alarm time instead of setting a new alarm each night. What a great feature!

Basically I am very satisfied with this phone and with AT&T service and would recommend it to anyone in the market for a new phone. ... Read more
